Legislative Toolkit πŸ§°

Email your local legislators! πŸ“§

Email your local legislators and make sure they know how you feel, either through direct emails or even better, schedule a meeting with them virtually or in person.

  • Find out who your local legislators are via this site

  • Review our 2026 press release, which provides suggested points for discussion.

  • Tip: It’s also often most successful to schedule a meeting via calling their legislative assistants directly and asking for one. And if you achieve a meeting, let us know and we are happy to join the meeting in support!

How to talk to your legislators πŸ—£οΈ

For REACH’s bill to move forward this session, we need legislators willing to sponsor it. A sponsor is a lawmaker who introduces the bill, advocates for it in committee, and helps navigate it through the legislative process. Without a sponsor, a bill cannot be heard or voted on.

You can help make REACH WA’s Washington Natural Psychedelics Safe Access Act move forward by sending your local legislators a personalized message of support using the ✨How to Talk to Your Legislators✨ document for examples and guidanceβ€”sharing a short story about why safe, community-based access to natural psychedelics matters to you.

Practice your testimonial talk at home before the hearing day. Dress to impress. Aim to communicate in respectful, informative, and authentic ways.
