February Community Meeting ✨
Hi REACH Community,
We can’t wait to reconnect! Join our meeting here.
We are happy to report that Tuesday’s Lobby Day was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community shows up.
Together, we:
• Held 18 meetings with legislators and staff
• Represented 17 legislative districts (had people commute all the way from Spokane and Yakima!)
• Brought 27 REACH members to the table
We are deeply grateful to everyone who took the time, energy, and heart to participate — your voices matter, and they were heard.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors who made the day possible:
• @twenty22many for sponsoring the venue
• Tetris for sponsoring food
• @screaming_octopus for covering general Lobby Day costs (screamingoctopus.com)
• And a generous REACH member who sponsored additional expenses
Because of your support, we were able to show up grounded, prepared, and united.
This work doesn’t end here. We’re proud of what we accomplished together and already looking forward to Lobby Day next year — with even more voices, connection, and impact.
Onward!
-REACH WA Team

Pop Up Action Hour 💥
Hey REACH community,
We’re calling on you for a Pop-Up Action Hour on Thursday, January 22nd to prepare the ground for a powerful, well-organized Lobby Day.
This early push is critical. By lining up meetings in advance, we’ll be able to make the most of our collective time and energy when Lobby Day arrives.
What is the Action Hour?
A focused, collaborative hour where we’ll:
Schedule meetings with legislators
Coordinate outreach to maximize our impact
Reach out to media outlets to help spread the word about our bill and the growing statewide movement behind it. Please review the press releasein advance.
You don’t need prior experience—just your voice and your commitment to moving this work forward.

January Community Meeting ✨
Hi REACH Community,
We’re excited to share that the draft REACH WA bill for the upcoming session is complete! 🎉 The REACH team has been deeply engaged in research, strategy, and collaborative conversations to ensure this bill reflects our shared values for safe, equitable, community-centered access in Washington.
Now we will be eliciting community feedback on the bill draft and seeking a legislative sponsor!!! We’ll be entering the new year with full steam, clarity, and momentum—and we’re going to need our whole community with us. Your voices, energy, and advocacy will be essential as we move toward a public launch of the bill.
We can’t wait to reconnect with you in January!
Join our meeting here.
In solidarity,

REACH Leadership Meet & Greet
This week our community meeting will be held at 5:30PM
JOIN THE MEETING HERE, Thursday April 1st at 5:30pm
We’re putting out a call for some fresh energy at REACH WA ✨
We’re looking for advisors and board members to help breathe new life into our work and support the evolving policy advocacy we’re doing around psychedelic decriminalization.
Some of the skills we're looking for:
✳ lobbying
✳ networking/bridge building
✳ fundraising
✳ legal (advising, incorporation, policy writing)
✳ coalition building/organizing/outreach
✳ volunteer coordination/event planning
social media marketing
If you’ve been following along, believe in what we’re building, and want to shape what’s next with us—we’d love to hear from you. Bonus points if you’ve joined one of our monthly meetings or testified during the public hearings back in February (but not required!)
We’re in an exciting moment of growth and reflection, and we’re looking for thoughtful folks who are ready to dig in, bring their perspective, and help us dream bigger.
Let us know if you’re interested—or feel free to pass this along to someone who might be a good fit.

WA Psychedelic Societies Call to Action Session
Big week ahead for drug policy in Washington, and we need your voice! If you care about protecting community-based frameworks, equity, access, and the right to gift, gather, and grow, now is the time to show up.
🗣 Public Testimony Prep – This Sunday! Join here.
Join us at a WA Psychedelic Societies Session (all decrim advocates are encouraged to attend—not just psychedelic society members) to get ready for public testimony in support of decrim. Not sure what to say? Here’s an example:
“If SB 5201 doesn’t include gift, gather, grow protections, I can’t support it. Even with them, restricting paid services to state-approved centers ignores traditional practices and underground communities. The bill claims to prioritize equity, cost, safety, and access—but how can it, while excluding the very people keeping these traditions alive?”
🏛 Upcoming Hearings:
📅 House Public Hearing – Feb 5 @ 1:30 PM
📅 Senate Hearing – Feb 6 @ 8 AM
📢 Community Meeting & Debrief – Feb 6 @ 6:30 PM
